Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Geographic Information System (GIS) concepts and technology provide new and powerful ways of managing, analyzing and presenting information that is geographic in nature. In environmental services and health services, much of the informatin that we deal with falls into this category and individuals throughout these fields have successfully used GIS technology to address a wide range of management activities and natural resource issues. Using GIS technology, we can perform activities that include data collection, map creation, and spatial analysis.
