Objectives:

To increase awareness of the importance of annual breast exams - CBE's, mammograms, and monthey SBE among the target population through community based, culturally sensitive educational messages provided via local tribal newspapers and newsletters, PSA's and circulation of ACS and NIH as well as other Native American specific materials, as measured by the number of educational messages provided per quarter throughout the contract period.



To increase the number of women in the target population who actually receive annual screening - CBE and mammograms; and any necessary follow up services by providing direct education, transportation, assistance with scheduling and unique psycho-social support for women in need of services; as measured by the number of screening and follow up services provided per quarter throughout the contract period.



To increase the number of women 65+ within the target population who receive annual screening and any necessary follow up services through targeted educational activities, as well as assistance with scheduling, transportation and individualized psycho-social suport provided by a local community memeber, as measured by the number of women age 65+ receiving screening services per quarter throughout the contract period.
