Community Services Block Grant Emergency Program


The Inter-Tribal Council of Michigan, Inc.’s Community Services Block Grant Emergency Needs Program provides emergency financial assistance on eight Tribal sites for recipients who meet the minimum standard of 125% poverty level. This program address the most basic and immediate needs of low income people.

The program assists households with:

  • Emergency Food Assistance
  • Emergency Housing Assistance
  • Emergency Energy Assistance
  • Emergency Assistance for prescriptions
  • Transportation for medical or dental services
  • Emergency clothing or clothing assistance to obtain employment and/or for foster children
