Indigenous Postpartum Doula Virtual Training with Postpartum Healing Lodge
Facilitated by Raeanne Madison, Ojibwe
Topics include: postpartum healing traditions, anatomy and physiology, traditional foods, newborn traditions, postpartum doula practices, and more
PLUS ++ Guest program instructors who are experienced helpers and community caregivers
PLUS ++ Mentorship session with experienced doulas
PLUS ++ Traditional crafting session lead by Ojibwe beadworker (supplies provided)
Follow your calling to traditional birth work with a focus on postpartum healing and recovery for Indigenous birthing persons. New, aspiring, and experienced Indigenous birth workers are welcome – no prior experience required. This course is a LGBT2S+ positive, affirming space that supports people of all genders and gender expressions.

Funding for this training is provided by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. Postpartum Healing Lodge is a qualified training program for doulas who are interested in becoming certified Medicaid providers through the Michigan doula initiative.
