Through guided discussions and reflections\, participants will build skills in cultural humility\, community engagement\, and systems awareness\, gaining tools to strengthen partnerships and support culturally grounded practices in their work. By tbhe end of the session\, participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to apply cultural resilience in real-world settings to improve outcomes and support sustainable\, community-defined well-being. Presented by:  Iris PrettyPaint\, PhD Dr. PrettyPaint (Blackfeet/Crow) has more than 45 years of experience as a researcher\, educator\, facilitator\, and communicator.  She holds her Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work with a focus on administration and evaluation and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Minnesota.  Dr. PrettyPaint has an extensive\, positive history of working with tribes\, states\, and government agencies including the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)\, the Indian Health Service (IHS)\, and the Administration for Native Americans (ANA) to support tribal communities in their efforts to improve behavioral health\, mental wellness\, and substance abuse treatment\, with a strong focus on culturally relevant care for American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities.
