Job Summary:

Assist Teachers with development and implementation of lesson plans and caring for the children. Provide and maintain a neat and orderly classroom. Eat all meals, and share same menu, with children. Serve as substitute Teacher in the absence of regular Head Start/Early Head Start Staff. Will ride the bus route for morning and afternoon runs. Assist classroom staff with daily cleaning and sanitizing.

Job Specifications:

High School diploma required. Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred or must obtain within one year of hire. Criminal history background check and CPS check required. First Aid and CPR certification preferred or will be required to obtain within 30 days of hire. Operational knowledge of appropriate and acceptable discipline for children. Must enjoy working with children. Must be of high moral character.

Preference given to qualified Native Americans

Wage: $14.33 – $14.69 per hour dependent on education & experience
