Job Summary:
Serve as the primary caregiver for assigned group of children (ages 3-5) and serve as the resource
person for those children’s families. Responsible for ensuring Head Start policies, procedures, goals and
objectives are followed and met. Maintain attendance records and other detailed records for assigned
children/families. Maintain a neat and orderly classroom. Serve as a bus monitor on a rotating basis, for
morning and afternoon bus runs during assigned times. Eat all meals, and share same menu, with
children.
Job Specifications:
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education/related field required; or Bachelors preferred. Must be
able to lift up to 50 pounds. Operational knowledge of appropriate and acceptable discipline for children
necessary. Must be of high moral character and enjoy working with young children. Preference given to
qualified Native Americans.
