POSITIVE INDIAN PARENTING CLASS in collaboration with the American Indian Health & Family Services of Southeast Michigan (AIFS) Thursdays, Noon-1:30PM September 10 & 17 October 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29 November 5 Microsoft Teams Meeting Developed by the National Indian Child Welfare Association, Positive Indian Parenting has been taught for over 35 years and was designed to help caregivers remember Indigenous parenting teachings and practice them. In this 8-week class, we will discuss examples of Native caregiving strategies and teachings and discuss how to apply those teachings and values today. Each participant (up to 15 participants) will receive a $25 Amazon gift card from the AIHFS for every class they attend! Eligibility includes NHBP Tribal Members, Spouses, and Descendants, Caregivers of Michigan Tribal Youth, and Members of Other Federally Recognized Tribes.
