  • POSITIVE INDIAN PARENTING CLASS in collaboration with the American Indian Health & Family Services of Southeast Michigan Wednesdays, 5:30PM-7:00PM January February March 21 & 28 4, 11, 18, & 25 4 & 11 Microsoft Teams Meeting Developed by the National Indian Child Welfare Association, Positive Indian Parenting has been taught for over 35 years and was designed to help caregivers remember Indigenous parenting teachings and practice them. In this 8-week class, we will discuss examples of Native caregiving strategies and teachings and discuss how to apply those teachings and values today. Eligibility includes NHBP Tribal Members, Spouses, and Descendents, Caregivers of Michigan Tribal Youth, and Members of Other Federally Recognized Tribes. Join us each month to recharge, share experiences, and refill your emotional cup, and a coffee cup, alongside others who understand the caregiving journey.
